Introduction Configuration Organizing your flows using Comments

Introduction

As flows begin to grow, understanding what each part does can become complicated. The “Comments” component in wolkvox Studio allows you to add visible text directly onto the diagram, functioning as titles, notes, reminders, or labels. It is a visual documentation tool designed so that you (and your team) can read the flow “at a glance” without having to open every single component.

This component is located in the Design group and is available in all routing types (Voice, Interaction, Chat, and CRM + Webhook) and in Agent Scripting.

Configuration

  1. Select and place the “Comments” component from the left panel onto the flow area.
    1. You can adjust its size using the corner handles to fit the text you want to display.
  2. Double-click on the component to open the configuration panel on the right.
  3. In the available text field, type the content of the comment.
    • You can use it as a:
      • Section title for the flow (e.g., “Customer Data Validation”).
      • Explanatory note (e.g., “Review logic before moving to production”).
      • Technical reminder (e.g., “External payment service is invoked here”).
      • Functional label (e.g., “VIP Customer Path”).
    • Once the text is written, click the “Save Observations” button located at the bottom of the configuration panel.

Organizing your flows using Comments

Place comments in key areas of the flow to:

  • Visually separate modules or stages (Start, Validations, Transfers, Closing, etc.).
  • Document special conditions (“Only applies to end-of-month campaigns”).
  • Indicate dependencies with other systems (“Depends on external API X”).

In large flows, you can use multiple comments distributed throughout the diagram so that anyone can quickly understand the logic without having to review component by component.
