Introduction

The **"Send DTMF"** component allows the IVR to automatically dial DTMF tones during a call. With it, you can automatically enter menu options, extensions, or values stored in variables, without requiring the agent or customer to do so manually. It is available in the **Basics** group and can only be used in **Voice-type routing points**.

 

Configuration

  1. Double-click the **"Send DTMF"** component you added to the flow. The configuration panel with the **"Send DTMF Tones"** field will open on the right.
  2. In the **"Send DTMF Tones"** field, you can:
    • Select a digit from the list (e.g., 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, #), useful when the same option will always be dialed.
    • Manually enter a number or sequence of tones, for example, **101**, **9001**, etc., to dial an extension or a specific route.
    • Enter a variable, for example, **$va_pred_opt1**, when the tones to be sent are dynamically defined in the flow (e.g., the option obtained from another system or previous process).
  3. Once the tones are defined, click the **"Save"** button to apply the component configuration.
  4. Ensure that the route continues to the next component that will process the call after sending the tones (e.g., another external IVR, a queue, or an announcement).
