Introduction

The **"Play Audio"** component allows you to play audio files within a **Voice-type routing point**. It is ideal for pre-recorded messages, audios created with the **TTS component (REC mode)**, or recordings made directly from **Studio**. Additionally, it enables you to upload audio files from your computer or store them in **wolkvox Storage** to obtain a public URL.

In this article, you will learn how to configure it, how to record your own audio, how to upload local files, and how to use audio stored in variables.

Configuration

Play an Existing Audio

• From the dropdown menu **"Select the audio or enter the WAV file URL"**, choose a previously recorded audio.
• If you want to use an audio generated from the **TTS component in REC mode**, directly enter the name of the variable where the audio is stored.
• To listen to the selected audio, click the **"Play"** button.
• Click **"Save"** to apply the configuration.

Record a New Audio

• Within the component window, locate the **"REC"** button (red circle).
• Click the **"REC"** button.
• The **"Upload Files"** window will open.
• Select the **"Record Audio"** tab.
• Enter a name for the audio.
• Click the red button to start recording.
• Use the **"Stop"**, **"Play"**, and **"Re-record"** buttons as needed.
• Finally, click the **"Upload"** button (up arrow icon).
• The audio will be available in the component's dropdown menu.
• Don't forget to finalize by clicking **"Save"** to apply the component configuration in the flow.

Upload an Audio from Your Computer

• Click the **"REC"** button.
• In the popup window, select the **"Upload Audio"** tab.
• Click **"Upload Audio"** and select a **WAV or GSM** file (monophonic, 16-bit, 8kHz).
• Once uploaded, it will be available in the component's audio list.
• Don't forget to finalize by clicking **"Save"** to apply the component configuration in the flow.

Upload an Audio as a Public File (wolkvox Storage)

• This option allows you to upload a file and obtain a public URL, useful for using external audio files.
• Click the **"REC"** button.
• Select the **"Upload Public File (wolkvox Storage)"** tab.
• Click **"Upload File"** and select your **WAV/GSM** audio.
• The file will appear in a table with its public URL.
• Copy the URL and paste it directly into the **"Play Audio"** component field.
• Don't forget to finalize by clicking **"Save"** to apply the component configuration in the flow.
